I am not a big buffet person. I mean I am big, YAAAAA, but I am not big on buffets. Lol. In fact, my girlfriends were surprised when I announced that we were going to "eat all we can" for our Sunday get together.
But I heard from friends that Impressions' Sunday Lunch Buffet is totally different league.
And these are friends I trust. I have serious trust issues when it comes to food.
Usually I would scan the whole buffet spread starting from appetizers to desserts and formulate
a plan of attack, but I skipped breakfast that morning and kinda got hypnotized by the meats
at the carving station. I forgot about the rest of the spread.
All this Roast Beef's fault!

Veal Shank
Lapu Lapu with Shrimp Farce
Shrimp Tempura. They colored some pieces red using beet to keep things pretty.

My plate. I went for lamb leg and prime rib, corn and potato gratin.
We also got a plate of grilled prawns for sharing
And sea bass which was unfortunately overcooked :(
The servers would also come by the table and offer us these pass-arounds so we never
really felt the need to stand up and explore
Until it was time for dessert.
We walked to the spread at the back of the room...
AND WHOAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
All along we thought the carving station was already it. I was even a bit disappointed.
We didn't know all the good things were kept at what we assumed was the dessert station.
All the good things mean all the things I usually eat at a buffet -
a lot of cured meats and cheeses, dried fruits, nuts and seeds

So even though we were already quite full, we reset our appetites and started again.

It wasn't really Sheryl's birthday. We just love playing jokes on her. :P
She happily makes a wish and blows the candles each time,
but never offers to get the bill! Lol!
Such a happy (fake) birthday cake! :D
Leisurely meals with these girls are always the best. ♥
