Congee Breakfast at McDonald’s, Chiang Mai ♥ ♥

Luckily, McDonald’s sits right across our hotel, so we go there in the mornings to get our caffeine shot. (McCafe’s Hot Mocha with that big crown of cream makes rising up at 7:30am less painful!)

mcdonald's chiang maiRonald says “Sawatdee Khrab!”
I say “Sawatdee Kaa!”

mcdonald's double fillet and chicken porridgeDouble Fillet and McD Chicken Porridge! When oh when will we have these in Manila?

mcdonald's chicken porridgeMcD Chicken Porridge – it’s just congee with McChicken pieces, green onions and coriander. No biggie.

mcdonald's breakfastMy breakfast tray. Porridge, hash browns and McCafe hot mocha.
Crispy fried things and whipped cream make every morning a great morning.

Wororot Market, Chiang Mai ♥ ♥ ♥

Do you know how difficult it is to eat and walk and squeeze yourself between hundreds of people and take pictures of everything all at the same time?

VERY VERY.

I don’t have the powers to multitask like that.

But because I love you, I sacrifice the eating part and just walk, squeeze and take pictures.

So here are some sights from Wororot, one of Chiang Mai’s largest outdoor markets.

Chaw Fha Talay Kram Restaurant ♥

Let’s eat at that seafood restaurant beside the airport.

Okay, game.

IMG_6988First, you pick your seafood here

IMG_6989and here

IMG_6990Then they cook it for you here

IMG_6991Then you eat what they cooked for you here

IMG_6996“Our seafood does not contain formalin”
That’s good to know.

Our no-formalin seafood picks for the night:

IMG_6997Deep Fried Soft Shell Crabs with Garlic and Pepper – very delicious but so rich and fatty
my system can only take a few pieces

IMG_7000Grilled Scallops with Garlic – ok lah

IMG_7004Pan Fried Eggs and Oysters with Bean Sprouts. In short, Oyster Cake –
oyster are plump and juicy

IMG_7006Fried Crab with Vermicelli – dry and tasteless

IMG_7008Fried Pork Knuckles or Crispy Pata – okay, I know this is not seafood, but this one’s got no formalin, too! Skin is thick and crunchy, but so is the meat. Bistro Remedios is still the best.

IMG_7002Stir-Fried Morning Glory – the chili gives this dish quite a nice kick

IMG_7009Then we get on the plane and fly back to our hotel in style. Ha!
