Fatterside in Boracay, Two Seasons

IMG 5399

Two Seasons is Frances' favorite place in Boracay. She has many, many and too many memories here, and maybe not all good, so we stayed here to make new happy memories for her. :)

There's a nice long and narrow koi pond along the hallway

I love the icy orangey welcome drink

IMG 5436

We stayed in the Family Grand Suite with Verandah

IMG 5433

The room is big enough to fit 8 people comfortably.
There are 2 queen beds and 1 king bed in the common room.

IMG 5441

And another queen bed in a private room. Because The Fatterside Parentals read my blog,
I am not going to say who and who slept here :P

The bathroom

IMG 5439

The shower can fit 8 people, but I would always retire to the room earlier than
everybody else so I could do my own thing in peace.

The other girls like to group-bathe. Eew.

IMG 5440

Thank God there is only one toilet bowl or else they would have group-pooped, too!
*Faints*

Some nights we would take a dip in the pool. Check out my sister's matching hair and back.

I refuse to do the mustache pose

Every night we bonded over good music, silly games, food and drinks that took years and years
away from our lives. It was priceless. I needed this vacation.

Still, I REFUSE TO DO THE MUSTACHE POSE!!! TAMA NA!!!!!

Fatterside in Boracay, Day 4

Our last day was a bit hectic and stressful.

We were supposed to leave the resort at noon to catch our 2:30pm flight to Manila.

The people who went on a jet ski trip didn't come back until 11:59:59.

561712 10151256988705185 448874353 n

These are the people. Remember their faces.

And because yesterday's "BoracaY" was so successful, the cousins insisted that we do "Fatterside" before leaving the island.

UGH!

IMG 2598

By the way, this was what I had for breakfast

IMG 2599

And this. I love soggy cereal.

PA013757

And so, at 12:01:02, here we go again

Fatterside

"FAttersIde"

The Cast. Bow.

PA013790

Then we rushed to the airport

IMG 5548

Boracay Airport has improved so much since the last time I was there

IMG 5551

The check-in areas are brighter and more spacious and even had LCD screens.
I just wish they would stop asking me to go on the scale and take record of my weight.
(Is there even a confidentiality policy over this???)

IMG 5550

There were wifi zone signs everywhere but I couldn't seem to connect

IMG 5552

Waiting to board

PA013796

Dumplings, siomai, siopao, cuapao… Last hurrah!

PA013800

Goodbye, Boracay! We're gonna go on a one-year diet and come back again!

Fatterside in Boracay, Day 3

Fatterside Breakfast Club

IMG 5533

This morning I noticed I was starting to grow a triple chin (on my face and my tummy) from all the
pizzas and chips I had been eating, so I decided to limit breakfast to a smallish omelette,
one piece of longganisa, and one tiny piece of chicken adobo

IMG 5531

What people didn't know was that this smallish omelette packed all these ingredients:
little ham, little mushrooms, some red bell peppers, chopped onions and loads and loads of
(gasp!) processed cheese

IMG 5534

Mangoes to balance the diet

IMG 5535

I was so relieved I was wearing something over my bikini when Sophie of Beautynomics and her
friends approached me at the breakfast table. I would die a million deaths if she saw the million
folds on my stomach… and back, and arms, and thighs! Hi Sophie and friends! :)

P9303256

After breakfast we went to the other side of the island for my favorite water activity

424625 10151081622102293 1027524009 n

Flyfish!

P9303270

The 4 chunkier cousins got on one fish. The 5 normal-sized ones got on the other.
This is the chunkier group. That girl on the right… that's not me!!!

P9303260

We asked the flyfish manong to drive very, very fast.
We are suckers for speed and adrenaline rush!

375904 10151081623127293 1539344862 n

WHEEEE!!!!!!!

P9303272

The skinnier ones hung on really tightly

429231 10151081622517293 641852862 n

They lost only a few people, and very few times

P9303269

The chunkier group, on the other hand, spent more time in the water (and getting back up
on the fish - OMG, that took forever!) than on the flyfish itself

P9303276

Archie and I. The last two standing.

P9303268

And that's my brother. He almost died of fear.

P9303326

Still full from gallons of saltwater consumption, we had a very light lunch at Ambassador Resort

P9303315

Prawn and Lobster Bisque

P9303314

Black Truffle Oil Mushroom Cappuccino

199449 10151081625102293 421236794 n

Cacciuco - a creamed mixture of prawns, fish and crab blended with tomato and brunoise
of vegetables. This was really delicious!

P9303319

Black Truffle Oil Mushroom Risotto

P9303307

Pinoyzza - fresh Filipino pandesal dough topped with cream cheese, marinated tuna,
shallots, salted egg, arugula

P9303308

Four Cheese Pizza - blue cheese, brie, cheddar, mozzarella
Ambassador's pizzas were not bad, but I couldn't help comparing them to Two Seasons'
which were much, much better

P9303329

Marble Cheesecake

P9303332

Chocolate Ganache

Laugh

Reminiscing about our flyfish adventures (and misadventures). YES, THAT HILARIOUS.

P9303338

After lunch, I was once again forced by the younger cousins to perform an act of silliness.
They wanted me, jinlovestoeat, to form part of the letter "a"

It took about 35 minutes to get everyone to agree, stand up, learn the letters, actually do the letters, and find a willing non-Fatterside to document our efforts.

Boracay2012

BoracaY

I tell you, we were the free live entertainment of the whole Station One.

I retired to the cabanas (ate pizza) and left them to continue with their acts of extreme silliness.

539339 10151081626802293 676307165 n

Such as this

247824 10151081626872293 840598786 n

And this.

I thank God for digital cameras. If they didn't exist, my cousins would have finished one million three hundred sixty eight rolls of film.

P9303570

Fire is mesmerizing

P9303575

No wonder people like to play with it

P9303577

She (or He) danced with fire

IMG 2597

I am afraid of fire. I danced the hula. (Sorry for the arm sag, oops!)

P9303613

Made a quick stop to Jonah's for our daily dose of sugar

Jonahs

Again, these naughty mustache boys spiked our shakes

P9303625

Snacked on mooncakes back in the hotel room

PA013626

Didn't want our last night in Boracay to end
