Who gets tired of this beauty?
Not the girl who loves to eat!
Even though I've been to Antonio's one, two, three, four, five times already (plus a couple of times that were secret so no photos, lol!), I was not going to say no when Monica requested to make a trip to the Tagaytay restaurant on one of her visits home.
The staff was still setting up. Obviously we were too excited.
We chose this lovely area for our very early lunch
Fresh dalandan juice on mint leaves and dalandan ice ♥
Antonio's Organic Mesclun Salad, Bleu d'Auvegne Crumble, Glazed Walnuts, Dried Currant
and Cranberries with Raspberry Vinaigrette, drizzled with Basil Oil
Oven-Roasted Tomato Soup
Auntie Baby and Richard each had an order of Grilled Black Tiger Prawns with Sweet Paprika
and Vegetable Rice Pilaf
Monica enjoyed her Duck Leg Confit, Orange-Grand Marnier Beurre Blanc with Gratin Potato
and Pigeon Peas
I don't think Auntie Judy was too happy with her Beef Placha topped with Seared Foie Gras,
Gratin Potato with Port Wine Sauce. But she finished everything.
I wanted all so I had Antonio's Trio:
Grilled Beef Fillet Gratinated with Cepes-Morel, Black Truffle, Mashed Potato,
Beef Fillet Plancha topped with (not so beautifully) Seared Foie Gras, Gratin Potato with
Port Wine Sauce, and Honey Glazed Lamb Loin Gratinated with Goat Cheese
Not so beautifully seared but tasted wonderful nonetheless!
After six (official) visits, I am still unconvinced about Antonio's desserts.
Felchlin Maracaibo Chocolate Terrine with Double Cream and Roasted Pistachios
Dark Chocolate Souffle with Cardamom Creme Anglaise
Turkish Coffee Ice Cream on Almond Meringue Basket
Sticky Dates Pudding
After this shot we were fast asleep in the car, snoring all the way back to Manila.
It was the perfect ending to a meal at Antonio's.
Antonio's: Purok 138, Barangay Neogan, Tagaytay City, Cavite, Philippines.
