Café Ilang-Ilang, Revisited ♥ ♥

I am back sooner than I thought.

Two days after my shameless binge eating at Café Ilang-Ilang, I am back again at the newly revamped Manila Hotel restaurant, this time with The Fatterside.

I was too excited to hit the buffet the other night I totally forgot to take pictures of the place. This time I ask my stomach nicely for a 5-minute wait so I can go around and take a few snaps of the café.

IMG_5273Sit here if you want to be close to the big, bad coffee machine

IMG_5276Or here if you have a particular liking for Indian cuisine

IMG_5282Love how they use different chairs

IMG_5287Okay, last shot before the stomach alarm goes off

Tonight I am not doing my usual buffet practice of sashimi-salad-dessert. I am in that period in a woman’s life when all she wants to eat is carbs. And lots and lots and lots of it.

IMG_5246Quattro formaggi pizza, spicy seafood pasta, pizza rustica, prosciutto

IMG_5253Some more pasta. It’s good stuff!

IMG_5244And guess what I spy on the salad spread. Edible flowers!!!

IMG_5249I can’t resist making myself a salad with the pretty petals, arugula (yup, they have my favorite salad vegetable!), bacon bits, pine nuts, sunflower seeds, croutons, grated parmesan, chicken salad with mango chutney, penne with sundried tomatoes, and I dress it with cranberry sauce, olive oil and a light drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette. So delicious!

IMG_5260I also spy a pretty cake which everyone ogles at but doesn’t have the heart to destroy,
myself included.

IMG_5263My dessert plate. Bread pudding with vanilla sauce, hazelnut biscuits,
yogurt and pistachio ice cream

IMG_5237This is my favorite spot in the café

IMG_5241Sit back, relax, nap a little (optional), and stretch your stomach muscles on these
big, bad la-z-boys. The jinlovestoeat way to end a meal.
