When Stenie invited me to her dad's birthday party, I did not, in my wildest dreams, expect THIS:
A PARTY AT BUDDHA BAR!!!
I mean, I had my birthday salubong here a couple of years ago, but I was turning 33,
and Uncle Peter… he is turning 60!!! He is waaaayyy cooler than I will ever be.

All of Manila was at the venue
The lola in me is not anymore used to this kind of party scene, so I went up where it was
quieter and less crowded.
It was also where the biggest cocktail buffet was stationed. Serendipity! :P
Proof that I was not the only one interested in food. Lol. That's Kaye getting noodles for me
while I went around taking photos of the spread.

Auntie Elena prepared a surprise video for Uncle Peter
In it she was on the piano playing "Wind Beneath My Wings" while beautiful
photos from the important milestones in their life together flashed on screen.
From their engagement
To their wedding
To having three daughters and a son
With the children all grown up. They are now grandparents to 4 little munchkins!
Each of the children gave a loving speech celebrating their dad. Stenie also wrote a very
heart-warming article on Philippine Star, calling her dad her superhero. Click here to read.

I cannot decide who among them got the best moves.
Birthday cake fit for the very athletic celebrant. Uncle Peter swims, runs,
does yoga, pilates, plays basketball, golf… I can't keep track anymore!

The night was still young and the party was just starting when I went home to sleep.
I will never be as cool and fun and fit and hip as this 60-year old.
