Oreo's 11th Birthday

DSC08462

Last February 15, we celebrated the 11th birthday of the littlest member
of our family.

Photo

OREO!!!
Oreo is my cousin Frances' only son, which also makes the handsome
long hair chihuahua my nephew. :P

The party theme was nautical. A very girly nautical. Lol.

Nikko's bag and my shoes were also in theme!

Dinner was ordered from Pepita's Kitchen, the maker of the best stuffed
lechon de leche in Manila! Click here to read about the unforgettable
Hayop na Degustacion I had at The Lechon Diva's home. It was one of
the best meals of my 2013.

I am sorry about the poor quality of my photos, but I panicked when I heard the beautiful and familiar sound of crispy skin cracking.

You see, the members of our family love each other, but when it comes to good food, saliva is thicker than blood!

My favorite Hiplog or Hipon at Itlog.
The huge prawns were succulent and I drank the salted egg sauce like soup.
It was too delicious not to. Sorry, aorta.

The Lamb Kaldereta was tender and tasty.

And then, the main event.

A lot of people ask me what my favorite Pepita Lechon is.

It is these two:

PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME WHICH I LOVE BETTER.

It is like asking me who I want to marry - George Clooney or Channing Tatum.

I CANNOT DECIDE.

I told you it was a blood bath at the buffet table. We had to order pancit malabon to preserve lives.

Refreshment was our family's go-to caterer Cindy Yara's iced tea.
Just add water, ice cubes, and garnish with mint leaves and you have
an iced tea that tastes like it's freshly brewed. This is a winner!

Pre-dessert were these delicious sapin-sapin rosettes I bought from the Romantic Eats
food fair at The Podium earlier that day
