Oakroom at Oakwood Joy-Nostalg ♥ ♥

When in Oakwood, eat in Oakroom. With Enchanté gone, it’s not like you have any other choice. Bleh!

Hihihi.

Kidding aside, I’d still pick Oakroom over Enchanté in a heartbeat.

IMG_4085_thumb1Creamy Mushroom and Barley Soup – I love how the toothy grains of barley add
texture to this bowl of fungi goodness. My kind of comfort food.

IMG_4081_thumb1Cobb Salad – Iceberg lettuce, tomato, bacon, chicken breast, hard-boiled egg,
avocado and crumbled roquefort cheese with French dressing

IMG_4095_thumb1Butter- Roasted Jumbo Prawn and Miso Glazed New Zealand Beef Tenderloin -
I find the prawn slightly overdone, the steak is tender but tastes too Asian for my liking.

IMG_4099_thumb1Chilean Sea Bass with Morels and Lemon Cream – the fish is moist and firm, lovely
to eat with the messy pile of friedness.

Main dishes come with a choice of side:

IMG_4102_thumb1Buttered Tagliatelle – needs more excitement

IMG_4104_thumb1Creamed Spinach – okay lah

IMG_4088_thumb1Pizza Rustica - Italian sausage, fontina and mozzarella cheeses, fresh mushrooms and sage.
The pizza is perfectly thin and crisp, but I think the chef forgot the seasoning.

IMG_4108_thumb1Chocolate Lava Cake and Espresso Ice Cream – there isn’t any “lava” probably as a result
of overbaking, nonetheless I enjoy soaking the chocolate cake in melted coffee cream.
As long as it’s chocolate, I ain’t complaining.
