Vertigo and Moon Bar ♥ ♥

IMG_8135

Aside from food and all things chocolate, I love heights. The adrenaline rush, butterflies and knots in my stomach… these are the things that interest me and thrill me.

If you must know, exactly this day last year, I bungee jumped off the Macau Tower. TWICE. Took a little nudging and pep talk, but I did it. 233 meters aboveground. And I am proud to say it is The Highest Bungy Jump in the World, certified by the Guinness World Records. Bow.

So you must understand why I come all the way up to Moon Bar even after having the looooongest day. (I personally like Sky Bar at Sirocco better, but we are already here in the area so…)

I chose to have dinner in Celadon at The Sukothai next door instead of Vertigo as I hear this rooftop restaurant is highly overrated. But the moment I walk up I am suddenly filled with regret. Not because I think the food here can be better than Celadon’s, but because the place is just so exhilaratingly beautiful I swear I can eat peanuts only and have a wonderful meal.

IMG_8108Moon Bar – so high up it feels like I’m having drinks with heavenly beings

IMG_8114Mudslide – vodka, Kahlua, Bailey’s Irish cream
I know I need my sugar fix, but this is extremely sweet it’s diabetes in a martini glass.

IMG_8113Moon Romance – vodka melon, creme de menthe green, peach, lime juice
I decide to try something fruity and refreshing and got this toothpaste in a fish bowl.

Okay, so the drinks are not too impressive, but hey, you come here for the view.

And I, for the butterflies and knots in my stomach.
