I was ecstatic when Va Bene opened a second branch in BGC, and I was even more
excited when Anita suggested the venue for our lunch date
The new branch at the cinema level is a little roomier than its Petron Dasmarinas outlet,
and more orange than ever!

I happily left the ordering to Anita. And look, she ordered the exact same dishes I would if I did the ordering myself!
These are all my favorite Va Bene dishes:
Polipo - braised octopus thinly sliced, semi-dried tomatoes, olives, arugula, lemon dressing
12-Hour Braised Veal Cheeks with creamy mashed potato, sautéed green beans,
chicken egg raviolo
Veal Cheeks Ravioli - portobello mushroom sauce, veal juice, parmesan cheese
Obviously, we both love our veal very much.
We also wanted tiramisu for dessert, but it was not available. (@#$%&*@#!!!!!!!!!!)
So we ended up with Sweet Mia - vanilla ice cream drizzled with
organic honey, extra virgin olive oil, and topped with almond slices.
It was interesting, but really just ok for me.
I love that Va Bene serves Nespresso. I had my favorite Ristretto and enjoyed it black and strong.
So wonderful to finally share a meal with Anita of Baked by Anita, the creator of my
all-time favorite truffle mushroom bocaditos. If you haven't, you MUST try her
savory little pies. I usually eat three bocaditos in one go. Sometimes four.
