Paparazzi ♥

Paparazzi at Edsa Shangri-La

My most huggable cousin Ritchie was visiting from Hong Kong

So we planned a little dinner to get the cousins together

It was a quiet Sunday night at the Italian restaurant. Just us and another family
celebrating a birthday.

Except for one huggable person who didn't want to share her food, we ordered family-style
so we could try more dishes

DSC5181

 Complimentary bread arrived freshly baked

DSC5192

Marbled wagyu carpaccio, quail yolk crumble, capers, sundried tomato, garden greens
with balsamic dressing and a small veal shank milanese with truffle dip

DSC5202

This little ball of veal shank milanese was the best thing I ate at Paparazzi that night.
Such a pity there was only one piece per plate.

Sadly, all the other dishes were mediocre at best. Somehow, it felt like the kitchen took everything from the spread at Heat and plated it nicely. The food, especially the mains, tasted like buffet quality.

DSC5194

Garden baby greens, micro sprout, nuts, sun dried tomato with raspberry walnut dressing
and shaved parmesan

DSC5196

Lobster bisque, poached tail, creme fraiche

DSC5208

Ravioli burrata, puttanesca salsa with tomato sauce, capers, sundried tomato

DSC5215

Fusilioni with salmon, lobster, tomato cream sauce

Of course, there is no sharing when it comes to desserts.

We ordered our own, but I got to try a bit of everyone else's. The perks of having a food blog! Yay! :)

I didn't particularly love any of them, and my palate actually rejected a few.
