I love the interiors at Madison's. It is clean and simple but tasteful and elegant.
Even the hallway to the restrooms is so chic
I can imagine the place gets packed with beautiful people in the evenings
Our server prodded me to try their flavored butters and I am glad I did. (Not that I wouldn't have
if he didn't. Lol.) The tomato-basil version had a hint of smokiness that I still think of until now,
although I didn't taste the arugula on the green butter.
Soup of the day was this clear but very tasty chickpea stew. I never thought clear soups
could be so hearty, but this one certainly was!
This Speck and Goat Cheese appetizer is my absolute favorite at Madison's. Creamy
truffle-scented goat cheese wrapped in cured meat and topped with apple chutney and
walnuts. These babies are an explosion of flavors. I could eat them all day.
Madison's signature dish, the Confit Pork Belly, was ridiculously tender and flavorful.
Well, at least 20% of it.
The other 80% will bring you straight to cardiac arrest.

Even the cute carrot pudding cube couldn't save it
The waiter advised me that I would have to wait 15 minutes for the Warm Peanut Butter
and Chocolate Fondant. I didn't care. I just wanted a sweet and happy ending.
But OOPS, NO OOZE.
No hint of peanut butter, too. Wahhh.
I went into the deli next door to calm myself down. Food stores always have that therapeutic
effect on me.
I feel so much better now.
