And from the Ramen Santouka Group comes Katsu Sora, the newest katsu concept in Manila!
What sets Katsu Sora apart from all the other deep fried pork houses is that it serves
4 kinds of imported pork
Spanish Iberico, Japanese Kurobuta, Spanish Shimofuri, and Canadian Sakura.
Which pig are you? :P
Meet my date - the toothpick and the condiments
Iberico Katsudon Set
I chose "the most highly sought after pork in the world" for my merienda
The Spanish Iberico or Pata Negra was flavorful, nutty, with melt-in-your-mouth marbling.
They deep fry their pork really well at Katsu Sora. No greasy feel!
My Iberico katsu set came with a bowl of juugokokumai rice, a premium 15-grain rice with corn,
barley, millet, sesame seeds and black beans. It is said to have all the health benefits of brown
rice, except the juugokokumai tastes better and is much softer. I felt so healthy and guilt-free
after finishing the bowl so...
I rewarded myself with a Kurobuta Katsudon Set! Lol!
The Japanese Kurobuta was beautifully marbled, making the meat wonderfully tender and juicy.
It was perfect with the gooey eggs. So what pig are you? I am The Kurobuta!!!
Yomogi Shiratama Azuki Mix Ice
All sets at Katsu Sora come with unlimited salad, rice and miso soup.
This buffet bar is your playground:
Complete with Japanese sprinkles!
Soup Bar with dispensers for two kinds of soup. How cool is that???
Congratulations to the Uy Siblings!!!
