Tonight is a night everything doesn’t go according to plan.
Like the plan to have dinner at Oakroom. It doesn’t happen. Eleonor and I end up in Q Bistro at The Malayan Plaza because we are defenseless against the rain.
And the plan to do our homework during dinner. Of course it doesn’t happen. When two girls get together, only chismis and bonding happen. 
Amuse Bouche – the mini bruschetta is quite tasty
Tomato Soup – El chooses this over other soup offerings because according to her,
tomato is healthier. (Thank you, Lord, for tipping the chef to sprinkle bacon bits over
our healthy soup!)
Palate cleanser
Fish in Coconut Masala – rich and creamy. I can eat just the coconut masala sauce
with rice and be a happy camper
Spiced Shrimp Aglio Olio – chili flakes add excitement to an otherwise ordinary dish
I usually get all worked up when things don’t go as planned, but tonight, after missing Oakroom and going home without any work done, I find myself smiling.
Looking forward to another dinner, El, but next time we’re ordering desserts!
