For my last night in Virginia, we decided to EAT. MEAT.

 

We chose this American-Brazilian steakhouse because, well, we're gonna eat ALL the meat we can

 

 

I hit the salad bar first to make me less guilty about all the animal flesh I am about to consume.
It's a pretty good selection with artisan breads, cheeses, veggies, cold cuts, beans, olives,
soups and other small bites

Hunan Chinese Gourmet ♥ ♥

 

My cutie-o, fatty-o niece got her ears pierced today.

 

Ouch!

 

 

As a treat, we took her to eat her next favorite food after chocolates (yes, she took after me, taste-wise and size-wise).

 

 

 

 

Her second favorite food is… wait for it… 

 

PLAIN NOODLES! Sans meat, sans veggies, sans soup.
(My second favorite is pan fried foie gras with all the trimmings!) 

 

 

Unfortunately, they do not have duck liver here, so we just settled with whatever looked good on the menu.

Wiped out everything in a jiffy.

Food was surprisingly good for a Chinese fast food inside a Virginia mall, but not the best either.

Nordstrom Cafe ♥ ♥ ♥

 

 

 

If there is one activity I very much enjoy doing inside Nordstrom other than procuring not-so-necessary things, it is gobbling down not-so-necessary calories.

Yes, the department store has a cafe. Bet you didn't know!

 

 

Lines are long on a weekday lunch

 

 

Setup is cafeteria style. You get a tray and pick whatever you want. Life's a buffet.

 

 

There are soups, salads, pizzas, sandwiches and paninis. Entrees, too.
You get a number, they bring the food to your table.

Red Lobster ♥ ♥

 

 

Ya, I know. There are manymanymanymany better restaurants in Virginia than Red Lobster.  

But I am head over heels with their cheddar bay biscuits.

And it's not the puppy-love-schoolgirl-crush kind of love.

It is the kind of love gods and kings fight over.

With 1,038,380 likes (as of 18:53, 7/7/12, including mine).  

 

I can go to Red Lobster everyday, stuff my face with biscuits and order nothing else. But I don't want to take advantage of the good people behind the lobster chain.

(The delicious babies are complimentary. You don't know?!?!?!?)

So we order some seafood to go with our biscuit dinner.
